The Mule’s Pass is an authentic slow travel experience in Transylvania, a carriage ride pulled by mules along rural roads in the Podișul Hârtibaciului. The experience takes place rarely, once a week or every two weeks, in order to preserve the quiet of the villages and the well being of the animals. It is not a mass attraction, but a living tradition that has almost disappeared from Romania and Eastern Europe.
